RSG - the Remote Stop/Go Switch

switch to start and stop the CNC servos during program run.

Converters
Translate the programs between the ProtoTRAK to other

DXF File Converter
 |
Powerful software that imports DXF file information
and provides the user interface to add the data necessary to complete
the part program. Same user friendly format as the ProtoTRAK
programming.

TRAK Sensors
 |
Optional sensors for table and saddle traverse for
a milling machine. See TRAK DRO for a description of the TRAK Sensors.

Glass Scale
 |
A popular brand of glass scale mounted on the
table and saddle.
|
|
Limit Switches
Switches and brackets to set for maximum travel
limits. Tripping the switch will cause the servo motors to shut down.
Note, limit switches are not especially recommended. The system software
monitors voltage intensity and will shut down the servos if it detects
excessive force.

Coolant Pump
Three-axis ProtoTRAK SMX CNC with AUX functions only.
The optional coolant pump is mounted on the back of the machine column.
It is wired into the electrical panel for operation as an auxiliary
function or through the Accessory key on the CNC front panel. For
two-axis CNC operation, a manual switch is provided.

Auxiliary functions
Three-axis ProtoTRAK SMX CNC only.
The Auxiliary functions provide program control of spray mist or coolant
and interface to a programmable rotary table or indexer. Auxiliary
functions are not available for running the ProtoTRAK SMX in two-axis CNC
operation.

Spray Coolant

The unique Fog Buster non-fogging coolant sprayer
precisely directs a find stream of coolant to the tool and workpiece.

TRAKing / Electronic Handwheel Option
 |
Since 1986, ProtoTRAK has brought an extraordinary
level of productivity to small lot machining. When we tell you that
TRAKing is the coolest thing ever made for tool room applications, you
should believe that you owe it to yourself to get a live demo. This
option converts the mechanical handwheels into electronic handwheels
for operating the table and saddle and that enables the powerful
TRAKing feature of the ProtoTRAK SMX CNC. The power comes in that you
no longer have to choose between the efficiency of CNC and manual
control - TRAKing gives you both. With TRAKing, you don't have to go
through the process of proving out the CNC program before you dare to
press the Go button. You can run the CNC program at the speed at which
you crank the handwheel. Go fast, go slow, stop and take a
measurement, go backwards, whatever. You are in complete control as
the machine moves the table, saddle and (for three-axis models) quill
through the programmed coordinates.
TRAKing is an exclusive feature to ProtoTRAK. Anyone else who says
they have it may not be lying, but they don't know what they are
talking about.
