Summary

TRAK Machine Tools is looking for a Software Tester to come join our team! The software tester will test the software created for our ProtoTRAK control system.

TRAK Machine Tools is a manufacturer of machine tools and CNCs for metalworking. Our products are marketed under the ProtoTRAK brand name and they are specialized for applications in which machinists and engineers make parts in small quantities. We are integrating 3D Printers into our value-added sales and support process. Our headquarters and manufacturing are in Rancho Dominguez, CA, near the intersection of the 91 and 710 freeways.

Job Overview

Execute all levels of testing (Unit, Integration, System, and Acceptance) with the use of different test tools and test methodologies in Windows platforms.
Develop automated scripts using Test Complete software using scripting language Python, VB Script.
Build automated regression test suite using Test Complete software in scripting language VB Script, Python.
Deter and tract software defects using tools like JIRA, eTrack, DevOps.
Prepare clear and concise documentation of software issues using Bug Tracking tools like JIRA, Toro, DevOps.
Collaborate with the development team and other testers for understanding functional requirements, creating test plans and test cases.
Analyze user stories/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility.
Create test plans for specific functional components, including a detailed understanding of data states possible required for testing.
Use DevOps pipeline for Continuous Integration and TFVC for Version Control of software.
Reproduce and analyze CRT defects with developers and add new tests in the regression suite for the defect reported.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Two years as a Software Tester or any related job.
Experience testing, diagnosing, and isolating software issues
Experience working with VB Script, JIRA, e-Track, TORO, Python;
organizing and executing test scripts.
