Yearly Compensation: $90,000 - 130,000K

Job Overview

The HR manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization.  Initial responsibilities include managing employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance with the requirements of Federal Contracts and legal compliance with the laws of California and the other states in which we have employees.  Eventually, the HR Manager will have essential roles in recruiting, training and the formation of employment structures within the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action (AA).
  • Administer the benefits program.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including performance evaluations and performance improvement plans.
  • Oversee the progressive discipline process.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on HR-related issues, including employee relations, performance management and compensation.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of HR related activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR Management as an HR Manager or HR Generalist.
  • Experience running compliance programs in a manufacturer that sells under government contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
