Summary

We are looking for a buyer to help launch new product lines and manage our costs.

Overview

TRAK Machine Tools is a manufacturer of computers for metalworking factory automation. We integrate our computers (known in the industry as CNCs) with machine tools and sell the finished products as turnkey systems under the respected brand names of TRAK^® and ProtoTRAK^®. We sell directly to users in much of the United States, with distributor sales in other parts of North America and Europe. The plant is located near Los Angeles, CA.

We are a privately held company, well-known in the machine tool industry, primed for growth over the next few years. We are looking for a buyer to help accelerate our growth.

Job Requirements

Initiates quotes, purchase orders, and release of products
Maintains close communication with suppliers to anticipate market trends, improve deliveries, and lower total cost
Assists in the resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery problems
Alerts senior management to potential issues that impact production
Collaborates on quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company activities and suppliers
Oversees implementation of new parts
Manages the disposition of discrepant material
Assists in the planning of production among the various departments

Qualifications

1-2 years of purchasing experience
Strong negotiating skills
Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms
Impeccable attention to detail
Ability to work well with a team
