Senior Machinist


Southwestern Industries has been in business for over 50 years.  It is a leader in CNC controls for the tool room market.  We are located in Rancho Dominguez near the 710 and 91 freeway interchange.  The company has been very aggressive in the market place, which has resulted in rapid growth and a commanding market share.

Job Overview

This is a highly visible position which requires the ability to read blueprints, define work holding, write CNC programs, perform job setups and run CNC machines.  As our Senior Machinist you will also participate in developing our Machine Shop’s capabilities to integrate new and more sophisticated machine tools and continue to develop our shop’s processes.

Job Requirements
  • Implement new parts into the Machine Shop
  • Run production parts
  • Troubleshoot problematic parts
  • Create Setup/Run/Inspection documentation
  • Support engineering with prototype requirements
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience with CNC Mills and Lathes
  • Programming MasterCam, Mazatrol or Fanuc CNC Controls
  • Knowledge of various workholding techniques
