ProtoTRAK RX CNC Software (RMX, RLX)

New features:

• RMX:
  • Added MPF OUT converter option for Siemens SINUMERIK ONE controls.
  • Improved Tool Path processing such that it does not re-process unless a change is made.
  • DXF feature BREAK GEOM now breaks full circles.
  • Added DXF feature ADD RECT. Useful for adding stock profile for Clear Off event.
• RLX:
  • Pipe Thread - this is part of Advance features with verify option.
  • Ability to set Z Finish cut in Defaults.
  • For groove event we can have top chamfer/Conrad to be different.
  • Retain angle in Do One taper.

Notable bug fixes:

• Fixed a handful of Clear Off bugs.
• Fixed multiple scenarios where if Spindle was switched to OFF during a RUN cycle, TRAKing and CNC RUN would continue to run program without spindle on.
• Fixed intermittent issue on RMX where JOG button would beep, but not move.
• Fixed intermittent issue on RMX where RUN -> START AT -> FINISH would not work correctly.
• Fixed a few scenarios where Z would plunge down before XY would move over.
• Fixed RLX issue where SFM Cycle would intermittently run at wrong RPM.
• CAM OUT - Tap event would output 0 depth for Z.
• All 20 Fixture Offsets are now fully supported correctly.
• Fixed scenarios where AUX, PAUSE, or event comments event would cause software to not swipe correctly or crash.
• Updated service code 522 (DCT) with several fixes and improvements.
• Fixed intermittent issue on TMC where front panel handwheel would jog the wrong axis.

Instructions for updating RMX & RLX Pendants

1. Disable your anti-virus software before downloading. (Some anti-virus software may silently omit necessary files, and cause your machine to have unexpected symptoms.)
2. Be sure to delete any previous PT10-SETUP folder from your USB flash drive first.
3. Download the RX_x.x.x.zip file to your computer.
4. Open the newly downloaded zip file to reveal the PT10-Setup folder.
5. Unzip/extract the folder (or drag and drop it) from the zip screen to your USB drive.
6. Navigate to your USB flash drive, and open the PT10-SETUP folder.
7. Double click on ValidateFiles.exe
   This will run a quick CRC check to ensure that the download is complete and not corrupt. You should get a confirmation that looks like this:
   
   In the event that any of them failed, please retry the steps, making sure to disable your antivirus and deleting any previous instance of PT10-SETUP folder from your USB before proceeding.
8. Take your USB flash drive and plug it into your ProtoTRAK RMX / RLX control.
9. Go to SETUP, SERV CODES and then enter code 316, and press ABS SET.
10. Highlight the drive letter corresponding to your USB flash drive, and then press YES twice to initiate the software update.
