Summary

TRAK Machine Tools is looking for a CNC Machinist to come join our team and work under the leadership of our Manufacturing Engineering Manager.  The CNC Machinist will work for the production side of the machine shop and also participate in some bench work operations for the machine shop.

Job Overview

TRAK Machine Tools is looking for a CNC Machinist to come join our team and work under the leadership of our Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The CNC Machinist will for the production side of the machine shop and also participate in some bench work operations for the machine shop.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, perform own set-ups and machine the part to drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in the use of machinist hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Ability to machine and measure up to 0.001” tolerances
  • Ability to design and make simple tooling and fixtures with guidance and approval
  • Ability to do simple programming using CAM software with guidance and approval
  • Possesses the written, verbal and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively
  • Willing to learn new machines and software
  • We will train the CNC Machinist on how to perform set-ups with our machines
Preferred Experience
  • ProtoTRAK CNC control programming and operation a plus
  • Graduate in a machine tool technology program, machinist apprenticeship program or completion of a Trade School program a plus
  • Ability to do programming using Autodesk Fusion 360 with guidance and approval a plus

About the Product

TRAK Machine Tools (TMT) designs and manufacturers machine tools and CNC controls. We currently sell a wide range of knee mills, bed mills and lathes. The control is called the ProtoTRAK and was designed specifically for skilled machinists making parts in small quantities.
