Introducing the TRL 30120RX Lathe

Our newest and largest lathe has the power and capacity to handle big jobs — and it comes equipped with the easy-to-use ProtoTRAK RLX CNC. The 30120 features a 30 HP spindle motor, 33″ swing, 118″ between centers and a 43.5″ swing over a 15.5″ gap.

Tooling Kit - 30120RX

1-1/4″ tooling for the TRL 30120RX lathe. Dorian® brand tooling kits make tool changes quick and easy. Repeatable to .001″. The kits include:

  • 1 quick change tool post
  • 4 each 3/4″ or 1″ square tool holders for turning, facing and boring
  • 1 boring tool holder (for the 3/4″ kit: 1″ holder; for the 1″ kit: 1.25″ holder)

The USB Memory option consists of an industrial-grade 2G Delkin® Thumb drive. Don't let the relatively small capacity fool you, this thumb drive is unsurpassed for reliability and speed of file access. It is the storage of choice for our own software engineers.

  • Coolant Pump — may be configured to operate as commanded by the Accessory Key on the ProtoTRAK RLX front panel. 1440EX coolant pump turned on and off by switch on apron.
  • LED Work Lamps — For RX series lathes: one tube-style lamp mounted to the underside of the chip enclosure, and one swing arm lamp mounted on top of lathe. The 1440EX has one lamp mounted in the chip enclosure.
  • Auxiliary Output Option — programmable output signal (not available on ProtoTRAK ELX)
  • Networking Option — lets you connect your ProtoTRAK to a network of other ProtoTRAKs or offline computers. (Not available for the ProtoTRAK ELX)
